چکیده
Purpose: This systematic review was performed to compare tooth, implant and prosthesis failures biological technical complications in toothimplant vs freestanding supported fixed partial prostheses, order evaluate the effectiveness predictability combining teeth implants same prosthesis. Study selection: A comprehensive literature research conducted, according PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses) statement, identify human trials, with a minimum sample size of 10 patients, comparing tooth-implant prostheses. Four groups meta-analyses were based on patients treated implant-supported prostheses: abutment failures, mechanical complications, prosthetic (technical) complications. Results: The search yielded 749 records, after removal duplicates. Based title assessment, abstracts reading full-texts evaluation, 8 articles, published between 1999 2013, fulfilled inclusion criteria included meta-analysis. studies were: 4 controlled clinical 2 prospective retrospective cohort studies. meta-analysis revealed no significant difference implant-implant number (implant or tooth) lost, Conclusions: Within limitations present review, although remains first choice, joining support partially edentulous becomes valid alternative an acceptable success rate.

OBJECTIVE The objective of the present systematic review was to analyze the potential effect of incorporation of cantilever extensions on the survival rate of implant-supported fixed partial dental prostheses (FPDPs) and the incidence of technical and biological complications, as reported in longitudinal studies with at least 5 years of follow-up. METHODS A MEDLINE search was conducted up to ...
متن کاملMeta-analysis of Failure and Survival Rate of Implant-supported Single Crowns, Fixed Partial Denture, and Implant Tooth-supported Prostheses
BACKGROUND Dental implants have become the most viable option for rehabilitation. Although, many studies report the success of these reconstructions using implants, a cumulative data about the various studies and the failure rate still remain unaddressed. Therefore, the purpose of this systematic review was to analyze these data and to derive the cumulative survival rate of different implant-su...
